I have played countless of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have wagered on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost an abundance of bankroll at 21. The gambling halls have made it almost impossible to defeat the game.

I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have wagered on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get flush with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that blackjack appears to be a game of streaks. When you are hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I bet with basic strategy 21. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Once I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the action back down to the original sum.

I am very strict and never back out. It gets very fun sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in series your bets go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a few years back with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a couple of weeks ago in Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You need to understand that you can give up a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you see playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would bet if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.

Wager $5
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the original $5 bet

Wager five dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total wager of $10

Wager 10 dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager

Bet 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of $20

Wager 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet

Wager twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar

Wager 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the first $40 wager

Wager 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid to you for a total wager of $80

Wager $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 80 dollar wager

Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first one hundred and sixty dollar bet

If you left at this moment you would be up $315 !!

It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
